I have been a massage therapist in Austin, Texas since 2000. I went to the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth for a BFA in Photography and Graphic Design. I lived in Boston for five years and worked in design and production but tired of the cubicle life. 1999 was the year of my big move to Austin to study at The Lauterstein-Conway Massage School where I also worked as a massage instructor for five years after graduating.
My Austin massage career started with a small studio in the Clarkesville neighborhood before evolving into the practice I have today. I was the senior massage therapist at Mecca Gym and Spa from its opening in 2000 until 2010. I also spent several months at a physical therapy office working under a team of PTs and a Chiropractor, honing skills necessary to attend to acute needs in a rehabilitative environment.
Personal Trainer, aka: Sweat Dealer & Dietary Defender: Joey Trombetta at HEAT Bootcamp - NSCA CPT (National Strength and Conditioning Association), B.S. Biology - Genetics and Development Biology, Penn State University. Offering bootcamp, personal training and nutrition consulting services.
Joey is helping me reclaim command of my health and nutrition with an honest appraisal of my diet and engaging workouts. Highly recommended.
