A creative path that became a healing one.
Tony & The Work
I’ve been a massage therapist in Austin since 2000, but my relationship to care, presence, and the body started long before that.
I studied photography and graphic design at UMass Dartmouth - practices rooted in attention, composition, and emotion. After a few years working in creative production in Boston, I realized I wanted to work with people in a more hands-on, direct way. Something grounded. Something physical.
That brought me to Austin in 1999, where I trained at The Lauterstein-Conway Massage School. I’ve been here ever since.
My background is both clinical and creative - and I bring that blend into every session. Over the past two decades, I’ve worked in spa settings, alongside chiropractors and physical therapists, and taught massage to new practitioners. My work is intuitive, technical, and deeply relational.
But what most informs my approach isn’t just training or technique - it’s personal. Years ago, I was in a serious car accident that left me with injuries requiring a long and very difficult recovery. I experienced trauma, pain, and disconnection in my own body in ways I had never known before. And I also learned how healing actually happens - slowly, collaboratively, and often in ways that can’t be rushed or predicted.
That experience reshaped how I touch, how I listen, and how I hold space for others.
Today, I work with all kinds of people, but especially those navigating pain, illness, identity, or transition. Clients come to me for more than a massage: they come for care that’s personal and safe. Work that listens. Touch that adapts.
This isn’t spa massage. It’s not prescriptive or packaged.
It’s care that unfolds in real time, together.
About Tony
How I work
Every session is tailored to you.
I draw from a range of techniques—Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Swedish, Sports Massage, and Shiatsu—but I don’t believe there’s one “right” modality for every body.
Instead, I listen.
To what’s showing up. To what your body is asking for. And together, we find the approach that works best in the moment.
Whether your system needs deep engagement or a lighter, more restorative touch, we’ll work together to find the right pressure, pace, and rhythm. I also integrate heat and cold therapy when needed to support restricted tissue or support pain relief.
Each session is a collaboration. Grounded, adaptive, and responsive to your real-time needs.
